Description
Makeney Yard, located on Makeney Road, is a 17th-century building that consists of four consecutive units, numbered 1 to 4. The structure is made of sandstone ashlar and features an old tiled roof with coped gable ends. It has four chimney stacks, with an external stone chimney at the western end. The building is two and a half storeys high, and the front wall extends into two coped gables that contain two and three light attic windows. There are six windows in total, some of which have stone mullions, while the western windows retain dripmoulds and are generally casements, with some featuring glazing bars. The building is oriented at right angles to Makeney Road.
