Description

Grey Gables is a 17th-century building located on a corner site in Newtown. It features a rubble exterior and a stone-tiled roof, with a gable that has coping and a saddle stone on the west elevation, and a similar but smaller gable on the south elevation. The building is two storeys plus attics, with one window on each floor for each elevation. The windows include 2- and 5-light casements, with two having stone mullions while the others are later additions. Grey Gables forms a group with Nos 10 and 10 B, as well as Nos 14 to 18, which are consecutive.
