Description

Nos 17 and 18, Newtown, adjoin Nos 14 and 16, but are set at an angle to the street to accommodate the corner. These buildings date from the 17th and 18th centuries and are constructed of coursed rubble. No 17 has a stone-tiled mansard roof with a dormer window, while No 18 has a more modern pantile roof. Each house has two windows over two storeys, featuring 2 and 3-light stone mullioned windows with wood casements and small sashes. The door frames are square-headed and chamfered. Nos 10 and 10B form a group with Nos 13 to 18.
