Description

This is a milepost dating from the early 19th century, made of cast iron. It features a triangular sectioned base with a sloped top and a pointed head plate above. The head is inscribed with 'LONDON 135', while the west side has the inscriptions 'ALFRE N 4½ CHEST D 15' and the east side reads 'DERBY 9 BURTON 20'.
