Description

This is a farmbuilding located to the rear of Waingrove Hall, built in 1791 with some minor later alterations. It is constructed from red brick, featuring brick and stone dressings, and has a plain tile roof with brick copings on the gables and a dentilled eaves band. The building is two storeys high and has five bays.

On the south elevation, there is an inserted casement window to the west and four doors to the east, each with plain stone lintels and plank doors. The lintel of the central door is inscribed with 'SRE 1791', and above it is an inset stone with a cross ventilation hole. There are square openings at both ends above, with the western opening being partly glazed and the eastern one having another cross ventilation hole.

The west gable wall features a first-floor door beneath a flat gauged brick arch with a stone keystone. The initials on the lintel refer to members of the Strelley family, who were also making improvements to Waingrove Hall at that time.
