Description
Numbers 21 and the attached garden railings are a house built in 1766, with later alterations. The building is made of pebble dashed brick, featuring painted stone dressings and a red plain tile roof with a large central brick ridge stack. It has two storeys and three bays, following a lobby entrance plan. The house has a plinth, a two-course first floor bond, and a stepped eaves band. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century glazed door flanked by 20th-century cross casement windows. Above, there are two similar windows and a central circular window with radial glazing set in a moulded surround. All openings, except the circular window, have wedge lintels with incised voussoirs and a double keystone. A beam in the roof is inscribed with the date '1766'. The attached railings at the front of the house feature arrow finials on the rails and iron finials on the standards.
