Description

Pear Tree Cottage is a cottage dated 1827, constructed from coursed rubble stone with quoins and a 20th-century tile hipped roof featuring a stone central ridge stack. The building has two storeys, with two sets of three-light casements that include top lights, all set beneath segmental arches with keystones. The central entrance door has a Gothic arch and is a six-panelled door. Above the door, there is a stone tablet inscribed with 'S.O.B. 1827', which likely refers to the O'Brien family, who were the owners of Tixover Hall. There is also a two-storey extension at the rear of the cottage.
