Description

Duddington Mill is a watermill that has been converted into offices. It features datestones from 1664, 1724, and 1793, indicating its historical significance. The mill was extended in the early 19th century and is constructed of squared coursed limestone and red brick, topped with a Collyweston slate roof. The building has an irregular L-shape plan and consists of two and three storeys.

The elevation facing the road has three bays. The left bay is a gable end with leaded casements on the first and second floors, the first under a wooden lintel and the second under a gauged stone head with a keyblock. The central bay projects forward and has a gable end that faces the road, featuring leaded casements on both floors under wooden lintels. The roof is mansard with a timber-framed panel in the gable end. The right bay housed the wheel-house, where the river flows through a semi-circular arch beneath a hipped roof, and there is a reset datestone from 1664.

The right elevation of the wheel-house has two leaded casements, while the gable where the wheel-house meets the main range is tile hung. The left elevation features a two-window range of two-light stone mullion windows on the first floor, garage doors at ground level, and part of the wall is made of brickwork. There are also two plank doors under wooden lintels. The left range has a lower eaves level with three Lincolnshire eaves dormers and two additional plank doors under wooden lintels. The rear elevation, which abuts the river, includes some stone mullion windows. The interior has not been inspected but is noted to have no remaining machinery.
