Description
This is a house located in Corringham, dating from the mid 13th century and the 19th century. It is built of squared coursed limestone and has a Collyweston slate roof. The original layout was a three-unit plan, and the house has two storeys with an attic. The front features a three-window range of 20th-century casements in their original openings, all under wooden lintels. To the right, there is a six-panel door with glazed top-lights, also under a wooden lintel, and a 20th-century porch. There are hipped roof dormers on the right and glazed panels in the centre and left. The gable parapets are made of ashlar, and there are brick and stone stacks at the ridge and ends. To the left, there is a single-storey extension that likely served as a shop, featuring a 20th-century door and window. The rear elevation is similar to the front. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have an 18th-century stair with turned balusters.
