Description
Numbers 1 and 2, along with an attached outbuilding, are two houses dating from the late 15th century to early 19th century. They are built from squared coursed limestone and topped with concrete tile roofs. Originally, the houses had one- and two-unit plans and are two storeys high. Together, they form a four-window range featuring 20th-century casements in their original openings, which are set under wood lintels and have ashlar dressings on the first floor. The ground floor has similar windows under stone lintels with keyblocks. To the left, there is a six-panel door, while a 20th-century door is located to the right, both under stone lintels with keyblocks. The houses have brick stacks at the ridge and end. The attached outbuilding to the left has a rectangular plan, with two casement openings on the first floor and a central hay loft door. The ground floor features a casement opening and a plank door to the left, both under wood lintels, and there is a stone stack at the end. The interiors have not been inspected. This listing is included for its group value.
