Description

No. 16 Mill Lane is a cottage built in 1734. It is constructed from coursed rubble stone and has a thatched roof with brick end stacks. The cottage faces the rear and is 1½ storeys high. There are two 2-light casement windows on either side of a central door, which has wooden lintels above it. Above the door, there is a stone tablet inscribed with 'T.B.A. 1734'. On the left end of the first floor, there is a 1-light window, and a similar window is located on the right end, with a 20th-century flat-roofed extension below. The cottage also features a 2-light window and a 20th-century sunroom extension that face Mill Lane. Inside, there are beams.
