Description

RP Garage is a house of 18th century origin that has been converted into a garage. It features a gable end facing the street and has a 19th century wing along the street. The gable end is constructed of coursed rubble and has a rebuilt ashlar stack. The one-storey ashlar wing behind includes two 2-light windows with cills and cambered heads, along with remnants of painted lettering that reads "CLOSE HARNESS MAKER." This section also has a moulded band, cornice, and blocking course. The south front has undergone significant alterations but still retains one first-floor 16-pane sash window with a double keystone and cill, along with a similar head on the ground floor window below. The building is included for its group value.
