Description
The Bakery is a cottage that incorporates a bakehouse, dating from the 18th century and constructed in two phases. The building features coursed rubble, including ironstone on the right side of the door, and coursed squared stone on the left. It has a Collyweston stone slate roof with a stone ridge and end stacks.
The cottage is two storeys high. There are steps leading up to a first-floor door, which may have originally served as an entrance to a granary, located on the left side. The first floor has four casement windows, with two and three lights. On the ground floor, there are three-light casement windows with cills, and the entrance is situated between the central and left-hand windows. At the rear, there is a gabled wing with a stone end stack, which has been extended further at a later date.
