Description

Custom Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century, constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings. It has parapeted gables and end stacks to the west and rear, and is arranged in an L-shape. The street front displays two windows, with openings set in plain ashlar architraves. On the ground floor, from left to right, there is a three-light casement window with glazing bars, a two-light horizontally sliding sash window in the original doorway, and a blocked single light. The first floor has a two-light casement window with glazing bars and a sill, and a two-light horizontally sliding sash window with glazing bars. An east-facing elevation features a 19th-century door beneath a lintel with a flush keystone, and 20th-century windows beneath timber lintels.
