Description

The Chestnuts is a cottage from the early 19th century, constructed of coursed rubble with an ashlar front. It features a hipped roof made of Collyweston stone slate and has a stack at the left-hand end. The building is two storeys high and has a two-window range. Notable architectural details include raised quoins and architraves, as well as a raised band between the storeys that has keystones cut into it above the ground floor openings. The windows are 6/6 sash windows, and there is a door on the right side with a plain rectangular fanlight above it.
