Description
No. 2 Mill Lane is a cottage dated 1757, located on the west side of Mill Lane. The building is constructed of coursed rubble that includes ironstone, and features ashlar dressings. It has a Collyweston stone slate roof with a parapeted gable, along with brick ridge and end stacks. The cottage is two storeys high.
On the south gable end, there is a three-light 20th-century window on the ground floor with a timber lintel, and a two-light 20th-century window on the first floor with a stone lintel and a flush keystone. The east side of the cottage has a four-panel door beneath a chamfered timber lintel, and above it is a small-paned window in a larger, partly-blocked opening, also beneath a lintel with a flush keystone. A blocked doorway is visible to the right of the current doorway. This building is included for its group value.
