Description
This is a house dating to 1734, located on the west side of Main Street in Market Overton. It is constructed of coursed squared stone with stone dressings, and has a Collyweston slate roof with stone end stacks. The building features double flues linked by arches, and stone-coped gables. The facade has two and a half storeys, displaying five six-over-six sash windows with stone architraves and keystones. There are three two-light dormers. A central 20th-century door replaces the original. A stone tablet inscribed with "A. over W.R. 1734" indicates the year of construction and likely the builders’ initials. A two-span extension exists at the rear.
