Description
Firdale House is a farmhouse that dates mainly from the early 19th century, although the rear wing is likely older. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a stone tiled roof. The building has three storeys and three bays, with a central doorway set in a heavy Tuscan porch that has a deep unmoulded entablature. The windows are 3-light casements, each with chamfered timber lintels. The house has angle quoins and gable end stacks. The rear wing is shorter and of an earlier construction, consisting of two different builds. On the right side, there is a blocked door and beyond it a straight joint, while to the left are 3-light casements on each floor, also with chamfered timber lintels. The rear wing includes angle quoins, a gable stack, and an outshut on the rear gable wall.
