Description
This is a 19th-century wall and gate leading to a house. The wall is constructed of roughly-coursed rubble, with flat ashlar coping stones on both sides of the gate. The wall curves upwards to meet a higher section which has rubble coping. The gateposts are octagonal with moulded caps and finials, matching the style of adjacent railings. The wrought iron gate has scrolls on the top rail, decorative uprights, and a cross pattern beneath the middle rail. The structure is included on the list for its contribution to the Group Value of the surrounding area.
