Description

No. 5 Stocks Hill is a house, likely built in the late 18th century, although it has an earlier core. The building is constructed from coursed rubble and features a thatched roof. It is low with two storeys and has a two-unit plan, with a centrally placed doorway. To the left of the doorway is a 16-light sash window, and to the right is a 2-light casement window below a 16-light sash window, all of which have stone architraves and keystones. There are axial and right-hand gable stacks, and the right-hand gable has coping. To the left, there is an additional bay with a stone-tiled roof and a 16-light sash window with architrave and keystone on each floor. Inside, one cruck blade is visible.
