Description
No. 28 High Street West is a house dated 1787, as indicated by a plaque. It is constructed of ironstone and features a Collyweston stone slate roof with coped gables and limestone end stacks, one of which has been heightened in brick. There is also a brick ridge stack located between the central and eastern bays. The house is two and a half storeys tall and has a three-window range. A 19th-century panelled and part-glazed door is situated between the central and western bays. The windows are 20th-century casements with overlights, and all openings have segmental heads with keystones, including a double keystone over the door. The building has cills and a wooden cornice, along with three hipped two-light casement dormers.
