Description

No. 52 High Street West is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of ironstone and features a Collyweston stone slate roof with a coped west gable supported by a decorative kneeler, along with a stone west end stack that has been heightened in brick. The building has two storeys and attics. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century door set in a chamfered opening, flanked by three-light horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars. The first floor has 8/8 sash windows, and there are two hipped dormers with two lights each. A 19th-century bracketed cornice adds to the architectural detail.
