Description
No. 20 Chapel Lane is a house dated 1823, constructed from coursed rubble stone with quoins and stone dressings, topped with a Collyweston slate roof featuring moulded stone end stacks. The building is 2½ storeys high and has three windows: a tripartite arrangement of 1/1 sash windows on both floors, flanking a central part-glazed door with a round arched 1/1 sash window above. The door has a stone frame carved with the date 1823, while the other openings have wooden lintels. Above, there are two 2-light hipped dormers. To the left, there is a single-storey extension with a part-glazed door and a fixed 6-pane window. To the right, a late 19th-century two-storey wing projects forward and features a sundial dated 1895.
