Description

Rose Cottage and Post Office is a house dating from around 1800. It is built of coursed rubble stone with quoins and features a Collyweston slate roof with red brick end stacks. The gable faces the street, with the front located to the right. The building has 2½ storeys and includes three iron-framed casement windows, which are three-light except for a two-light window above the central door. These windows have wooden lintels and stone sills. Above the two-light window, there is a hipped dormer featuring a 20th-century window. To the right, there is a lower two-storey range with 22-light casements, a two-light window, and a door with a porch below. Additionally, there is a one-storey extension at the right end.
