Description
Thatched Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located in Barrow. It is constructed of whitewashed stone and features a thatched roof with rebuilt brick end stacks. The entrance is at the rear, and the cottage has one and a half storeys, with a two-light casement window on either side of the central door. There are two dormers above. To the left, there is a 20th-century single-storey extension and an outshut with a corrugated roof facing the road. Above the right of the outshut, there is a wooden board, likely from the early 19th century, with a painted inscription stating, "All vagrants who are found Begging in this Town will be taken up and prosecuted."
