Description
Market Overton House is an early 18th-century house located on the east side of Main Street. It is constructed of ashlar stone, with a plinth, rusticated quoins, a sill band, and a parapet. The roof is covered in Collyweston slate, featuring moulded stone stacks and linked triple flues.
The house has two and a half storeys and five six-over-six sash windows to the front elevation, each with keyed architraves. A central four-panelled door, accessed by two stone steps, is framed by a Gibbs surround and topped with an overlight. Three flat-roofed dormers and a skylight are also present.
Extensions extend to the left and rear of the main house, built in coursed squared stone and incorporating further sash windows and doors. The interior was not inspected in 1983.
