Description
The garden wall attached to the southeast corner of The Old Manor House, along with the railings at the front of the house, dates from the 17th century. The wall encloses a small garden to the east of the house on the south and west sides, and part of the east side. It is constructed of limestone, featuring ashlar facing on the west wall, while the remainder is made of coursed rubble. The top of the wall has pitched ashlar coping with roll-moulding at the apex. A moulded stone doorway is present on the west side. A later extension of the wall around the east and north sides of the garden is not considered of special interest. The railings, which are of cast iron and feature fleur-de-lys finials, were added in the late 19th century.
