Description

This building at 15 Market Street is a late 19th-century shop and offices, dating from around 1880, with alterations made in the late 20th century. It is constructed of red brick with ashlar and yellow terracotta dressings, and has a slate roof with a side wall stack. The architectural style is Gothic Revival, featuring moulded eaves. The building is three storeys high plus attics, with a two-window frontage. The windows are original, comprising margin-glazed sashes. The ground floor has a shopfront dating from the late 20th century. Above this, the first floor features two windows set within pointed relieving arches. The second floor has two windows with bracketed sills, beneath a patterned string course. The attic has a projecting dormer with a coped gable and two pointed arched windows, with a roundel above them.
