Description
No. 13 Market Street is a shop and offices built around 1870, with alterations made in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick with painted ashlar dressings and features a slate roof in the Venetian Gothic style. It stands four storeys high and consists of a single bay. The ground floor has a late 20th-century shopfront and entry. Above this, there is a projecting centre with a two-storey canted bay window and balustrade, which has four lights with round arches on the first floor and shouldered lights above. On the fourth floor, there is a round-arched two-light window set beneath a coped gable. All of these windows retain their original glazing.
