Description

No. 9 Market Street is a shop and offices built around 1870, with alterations made in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick with stucco dressings and features an Italianate style. It has a side wall stack and is four storeys high with a two-window range. The ground floor has a late 20th-century shopfront, while above it is a bowed shop window with three lights, pilasters, and a cornice. Each floor features original plain sash windows with moulded surrounds, and there is a textured frieze on the second floor.
