Description

This is a late 17th-century house, which was substantially refronted around 1800 and altered in the 19th century. It was converted and the interior refitted around 1970, and is now used as a museum. The exterior is stuccoed, with a gloss paint finish, and has a plain tile roof with a ridge stack. The building has an ashlar plinth and a parapet coping. It is three storeys high and has a single window range to the front. The central window is a 16-pane sash, with a long glazing bar casement above. On the ground floor, to the left, is a reeded wooden doorcase with a cornice, a beaded 6-panel door, and an overlight. To the right is a long 4-light window with a single sliding light.
