Description
The former Donisthorpe and Company Limited factory range consists of three buildings located to the right of the entrance, facing Bath Lane. The building immediately to the right of the entrance dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of red brick with a slate roof that has a hipped end. It is two storeys high and features three widely spaced sash windows with glazing bars set in flush casings. The ground floor has segmental brick arches above the windows, two of which are fitted with shutters. The entrance has coupled moulded doorcases with rectangular fanlights and fielded-panel doors.
The central section, likely also from the early 19th century, is another factory building made of red brick with a slate hipped roof. It is two storeys tall and has four windows. The first floor features segmental brick arches over horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars, while the ground floor has iron-frame windows with brick segmental arches.
The building at the far right, which may date from the 18th century or early 19th century, is a factory building made of red brick with a slate roof that has one end gabled and the other hipped. It is three storeys high and has a symmetrical front with seven windows, all featuring segmental brick arches. The fixed-light wood windows have glazing bars, and the ground floor includes shutters and one blind window. There is a doorway on the right with a brick segmental arch and a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars, along with a blocked elliptical-arch doorway at the centre.
