Description

Jewry Wall is a Grade I listed structure located on St Nicholas Street in Leicester. It is believed to be part of a basilica dating from around AD 125-130. The wall stands approximately 25 feet high and is constructed from Roman masonry, featuring freestone and bricks. On the east side, there are two arches set in alcoves with a niche between them. The wall is situated on the east side of an excavated site that reveals the remains of a Roman Forum and baths.
