Description

This is a mid-19th century terraced range of stucco-faced buildings. It has two storeys and ten sash windows; the windows at numbers 16 and 17 are set within moulded architraves. The doorways feature fanlights that are either semi-circular or rectangular in shape, and contain 4 and 6-panelled doors. Number 17 has a slightly projecting two-windowed gabled bay to its right-hand side and a rectangular bay window to the ground storey on its left-hand side. The roof is slate, with a hipped section on the left-hand side. A recessed entrance bay, built in the 20th century, links the range to a formerly separate house and has a plain stucco front with sash windows lacking glazing bars. Numbers 14 to 17 form a group with number 16 South Street and number 29 York Street.
