Description
1 Church Street is an early 19th-century building with later alterations. It is constructed of painted brick and features gables that face the road. A modern casement window with a cambered head is visible. On the front, to the left, is a sash window with single glazing bars. A cottage, possibly of late 18th-century origin, is attached to the left and has been incorporated into the main building. This cottage has two modern casement windows and a plain doorway. The building has plain eaves and modern tiles. The property is included on the list for its group value, along with Nos. 3, Church Farmhouse, and Elm Cottage on Elvaston Lane.
