Description

No. 162 Westgate is a building from the early to mid-18th century. It has two storeys and features a stuccoed front with two windows. The high-pitched slated roof has a gable end, with a possibly older rear wing visible above the ridge. There is a chimney at the right end of the building. The ground floor has a stone cill band, and the first floor has stone cills beneath the sash windows, which have glazing bars and are paired on the left side. The ground floor also includes a small mid-19th century shop window on the left and a modern casement window on the right. The building has a core that dates back to the 16th century.
