Description

Nos 143 and 145 on Westgate are late 16th century buildings that stand three stories tall with a total of four closely set windows. They are constructed of red brick and feature a stone moulded and modillioned cornice beneath a low pitched hipped roof made of stone slates. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are topped with flat gauged brick arches that include fluted triple keystones, and they have stone cills. The windows on the first and ground floors have been altered to modern casements. Additionally, there is a later canted bay and two later entrances on the ground floor.
