Description

No. 164 Westgate is a tall house from the early to mid-18th century that has undergone some alterations. It stands three storeys high and features three windows. The house has a very high pitched swept roof made of clay tiles, with end chimneys, one of which has been rebuilt. The exterior is now covered in stucco with incised lines. The windows are later sash types set in near-flush box frames, with segmental arches on the first floor. The ground floor was rebuilt in the early to mid-19th century and includes one wide and one narrow elliptical gauged brick arch, both with keystones, which support a shop window and door. To the right, there is a round arch that provides access to yard entrances.
