Description

No. 158 Northgate is an early 19th-century, three-bay villa featuring a modern south extension that complements the original design. The building is constructed of soft red brick and has a low-pitched hipped slate roof with a moulded stone eaves cornice. It includes gauged flat brick arches and stone cills for the sash windows, which have glazing bars. The entrance features a four-panel door set within a doorcase that has engaged columns, an entablature, and a blocking course, accessed by three steps. The villa also has a stone plinth.
