Description

The garden folly, located approximately 20 metres east of Old Hall House, is a structure likely built in the later 19th century. Constructed from coursed squared magnesian limestone, it is designed to resemble a ruined medieval tower. The folly has a semicircular plan and is a single storey with a screen wall above and on the north side. There is a shouldered doorway near the angle on the north-west side, a modern flagmast to the right of the doorway, and a looplight to the right, along with another apparently ruined looplight in the screen wall above. Inside, it features a wooden three-seater earth closet, with the third seat designed for a child. This structure does not appear on the 1843 Tithe Map.
