Description

Percy Cross is a medieval stone memorial cross made of Magnesian limestone. It consists of the remains of the shaft and base of a late medieval memorial cross. The base is set on a low square chamfered stone plinth, measuring approximately 1 meter square and 0.5 meters high. The upper part of the base is shaped into an octagon with broad chamfers, while the remaining corners of the lower part are raised, resembling finials or short pinnacles. In the center of the base, there is a stump of an octagonal shaft, which features chamfered stops at the bottom of the diagonal sides.
