Description

This is a late 18th-century house and cottage situated on the north side of Tenter Hill, Bramham cum Oglethorpe. The house is constructed of ashlar magnesian limestone with a stone slate roof and presents a gable front to the road. It is two storeys high and two bays wide, designed in a classical style. Features include raised quoins, a ground-floor sill band, and a prominent gable pediment. The front door is round-headed, framed by impost blocks and a keystone, and is paired with a fanlight and a 16-pane sash window to the left. The first floor has two 12-pane sash windows. The gable pediment contains a blind oeil-de-boeuf window. Attached to the right-hand side is a cottage, slightly set back. The cottage is two and three storeys high, over falling ground, and also has two bays. The first bay of the cottage has a segmental-headed wagon entrance that has been blocked and altered into a large 30-pane sash window; a 12-pane sash window is above this. The second bay has windows on three floors, all altered; a small inserted window sits between the bays at ground floor level. An addition is situated to the right of the cottage, but is not part of this listing.
