Description
Wheatfield House is a small country house, now converted into flats, dating from the late 18th century and altered in the 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with ashlar details and features a stone slate roof. It has chamfered quoins, a parapet, and a cornice. The house is two stories high with an attic and has three windows, which have plain stone architraves and modern casements. The central entrance consists of a glazed door with a fanlight, flanked by Tuscan attached columns that support an open segmental pediment. At the rear, there is a tall round-headed stair window with sashes that include glazing bars. The gable ends feature round-arched attic windows. The interior has not been inspected.
