Description
This milestone, located approximately 20 meters south of Scarcroft Village Hall, dates from the mid-19th century. It features an arched stone structure that is overlaid with cast iron. The letters on the milestone are in relief. The top of the milestone reads "LEEDS & COLLINGHAM ROAD SCARCROFT," while the left face indicates "COLLINGHAM 3½ MILES" and the right face shows "LEEDS 7 MILES WETHERBY."
