Description

No. 50 Park Road is a small house, possibly a former farmhouse, dating from the early to mid 18th century. It is built of coursed squared sandstone with some quoins and has a stone slate roof. The house has a double-depth, two-unit plan and stands at two low storeys, featuring an almost symmetrical façade. The entrance is a panelled door in a plain surround, slightly offset to the left of centre. There are two 3-light windows on each floor, which have flat-faced flush mullions, plain stone surrounds, and central casements. The house is topped with tall gable chimneys and stone gable copings with kneelers on the right-hand gable. At the rear, there is an extension that is said to have been used as a weaving shop.
