Description
There are two lamp-posts located beside the steps leading to the west door of the Church of St. Oswald in Guiseley. These lamp-posts were made in the early 20th century and are constructed from sandstone and wrought iron. They are designed in a classical style and stand approximately 2 metres high. Each lamp-post features a Tuscan column on a pedestal, topped with an ornamental wrought-iron lamp standard supported by scrolled brackets, which now holds a glazed lamp holder containing an electric bulb. These lamp-posts are included for their group value.
