Description
This is an early to mid-18th century farmhouse, now a house, located off Town Street in Aireborough, near Guiseley. The building is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with quoins, and has a stone slate roof. Originally a two-unit plan, a third unit was added to the right-hand end. The farmhouse was originally almost symmetrical, with a central doorway featuring a plain surround. It originally had two windows on each floor, all formerly with three lights and flat-faced flush mullions in plain surrounds; however, the right-hand ground floor window has been altered and now lacks its second mullion. An addition at the right-hand end includes a plain doorway near the junction, accompanied by a three-light window at the first floor. The ground floor window in the addition has been altered and is now a bow window with glazing bars. The building features gable chimneys, including a former gable chimney at the junction. The interior was not inspected.
