It is a monolithic block made of gritstone, approximately 1 meter high and 0.6 meters wide, with a segmental-arched top. The inscription is partially legible and includes the following place names: 'HEADINGLEY CHURCH 2/ LEEDS BRIDGE 4/ BREARY BAR .../ .../ OTLEY.../ BURLEY.../ ILKLEY.../ BOLTON BRIDGE.../ SKIPTON...'.
