Description
The Coach House, formerly known as the Manor House and stables, is a late 18th-century building located on Colton Road in Whitkirk. It has been converted from stables to a dwelling. The exterior features a stucco finish and a hipped roof made of stone slate. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with the centre bay projecting and adorned with a pediment and an upper-floor round-headed window framed in stone architrave. There is a continuous sill band along the façade, and the flanking windows are small sashes with glazing bars and stone sills. The ground floor is arcaded, with a stone impost, and the centre contains a panelled door topped with a fanlight. There are lower wings at each end that feature garage doors. The interior has not been inspected.
