Hall of residence. 1911. By GW Atkinson. Red brick, ashlar details, slate hipped roof. 3 storeys, 5 unequal bays with 3,5,1,5,3 windows. In Classical 'Wrennaissance' style, one of the 7 halls grouped to the S of the main building, James Graham Hall (qv), this one facing E. Ashlar plinth; central and outer bays break forward and to corners and pedimented gables. Central entrance: paired glazed doors and overlight with geometric glazing bars in cavetto-moulded stone surround with deep moulded cornice, repeated to centre windows bays 1 and 5. Small-pane sashes throughout, in round-arched openings to projecting ground floor, bays 2 and 4; in stone architraves to centre and outer bays. Deep modillion cornice, decorated tall brick ridge stacks. INTERIOR: not inspected.
